Effective date: October 20, 2026

Verras Law, P.A. (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a law firm. We handle sensitive family and financial information every day, and we treat information that reaches us through this website the same way we treat information that reaches us in person: it is used to help you and for nothing else. This policy describes what the website collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

The website collects personal information only when you give it to us: through the contact form, the estate planning questionnaire, a request for a consultation, a text-message opt-in, or an email or telephone call to our office. That information typically includes your name, how to reach you, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. We ask for no more than we need to respond.

The website also uses two standard tools that collect limited technical information automatically. Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, records how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) so that we can tell which pages are useful. Call tracking provided by CallRail displays a telephone number that identifies how you found us and records that a call was placed; calls to those numbers may be recorded for quality purposes where the law permits, and you will be told if a call is being recorded. Neither tool is used to show you advertising, and we do not use advertising cookies, retargeting, or social media pixels.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to respond to you, to schedule and prepare for a consultation, to check for conflicts of interest, and, if you engage us, to represent you. We may use it to send you information directly related to your inquiry or your matter. We do not send marketing email or text messages to people who have not asked for them.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their marketing or promotional purposes. We do not exchange it for value with data brokers, advertisers, or “business partners.” Mobile telephone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Who else sees it

The companies that host this website, deliver its forms, and provide our analytics and call tracking process information on our behalf and under instructions that limit its use to those services. If you become a client, information about your matter is kept in our practice management and document systems, which are protected by the same confidentiality obligations that bind us. We disclose information when the law requires it, when you ask us to, and as the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar permit or require.

Prospective clients and confidentiality

Contacting us through this website does not make you a client, and an attorney-client relationship is formed only by a written engagement. Even so, information a prospective client gives us in good faith while considering whether to retain us is treated as confidential under Rule 4-1.18 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. Please limit a first message to what we need to respond: your name, how to reach you, and the general nature of your matter. The details belong in the consultation, and in the questionnaire, which travels to our office over an encrypted connection.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who have affirmatively opted in, and only about their own inquiry or matter: responses, scheduling, reminders, and requests for information. Message frequency varies and carrier rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance; you may also call 727.493.2900 or write to contact@verras-law.com. Consent to text messages is not a condition of any service, and giving us a telephone number is not consent by itself.

Cookies

The site sets the cookies needed for it to function and the analytics and call-tracking cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful to respond to you and to check conflicts, and client files for the period our professional obligations require. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted transmission of forms and access limited to the people who need it, while recognizing that no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our professional and legal duties to keep records of representation. Write to contact@verras-law.com or to the address below.

Children

This website is for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children online.
